The Wichita Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee was created in 1945 to develop and maintain the best-trained workforce in the electrical industry. The WEJATC offers the opportunity to earn wages and benefits while learning the skills necessary to be a successful Journeyman Electrician.
About
The WEJATC is a joint venture of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) L.U. 271 and the Kansas Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
Those in the WEJATC Apprenticeship will receive 900 hours of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. Apprentices will be paid wages and benefits in accordance with our advancement scale.
The WEJATC is a Kansas Registered Apprentice Program and follows the standards and curriculum as set forth by the National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee.
